Guidelines/Protocols for the JJLHS Alumni Milestone Moments: Virtual Recognition

In line with the JJLHS Alumni Association’s Milestone Moments: Virtual Recognition, the organizing committee has come up with guidelines/protocols participants will have to follow.

Camera Background — All participants are required to have a decent background. Since our event will be streamed live on Facebook using the Zoom as entry platform, it’s mandatory for all of us to have a decent background.

We encourage everyone to find an ideal spot at home, office or wherever you are, for better visual presentation since all of us will have a photo session once each batch receives its Certificate of Recognition.

If we can’t find a more presentable spot, it is advisable that we use a virtual background. There are templates of virtual background available via Zoom, so we suggest that you take time to study on how to use them. You can also upload your preferred background and include it in the selection.

We don’t want others seeing us with obstructions in front of the camera, for example hanged clothes, like underwear or personal items scattered, or people within our homes/offices passing by.

Open Your Cameras, Mute Your Microphone — Group meetings can either be challenging or stressing when we hear irritating sounds from the background. Talking simultaneously is also a distraction, hence, a lot of times, we’re having difficulty hearing one another whenever somebody is talking and others were doing the same.

An important protocol suggested is once we log in, we should open our cameras to be visible to everyone while putting our microphones on mute. You can turn on your microphone once you’ll get a chance to speak. Not only it’s a sign of respect to somebody speaking, but it will allow everyone a clearer understanding on what we’re talking about.

Logging In Early Gives You More Flexibility — Logging in a few minutes before the live stream gives everyone a leverage to get ourselves settled.

Connecting to the internet is sometimes challenging, hence it’s advisable that we try to log in a few minutes earlier to make sure that we’ll be accepted right on time or before the actual event starts.

Imagine yourself logging in late with the program ongoing and you will create distractions with dogs barking in the background or while you are asking for assistance from someone at home or the office on how to log in and your voices are being heard.

Another challenge would be the number of participants allowed in the Zoom. Wouldn’t it be more convenient on your end if you’ve logged in just in time and secure your spot in the Zoom session before the event starts?

Follow A Certain Motif — A motif varies based on your anniversary celebration.

If you’re a Ruby celebrant, then it’s ideal that you wear red or shades of the color.

If you’re celebrating your Porcelain anniversary or your Crystal Year, then it’s suitable to follow a motif based on your year stone.

Others preferred to have their own set of uniforms.

Whatever your motif is, make sure you follow it to a tee.

We suggest that all participants from our Jubilarians who will be recognized by the JJLHS Alumni Association in their milestone moments — Class of 1971, Class of 1976, Class of 1981, Class of 1986, Class of 1991, Class of 1996, Class of 2001 and Class of 2006 — to adhere to these guidelines and protocols.

Congratulations and we look forward to joining all of you in your Milestone Moments: Virtual Recognition.
